Role Summary
This position reports directly to the Logistic Supervisor and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee overtime equalization and ensure distribution of overtime is administered per policy. Maintain team member attendance records and report absenteeism concerns to your Manager in a timely manner.
• Complete employee reviews as required and provide feedback to the team member on their performance on a continuing basis.
• Facilitate daily information meetings at start of shift with team members to ensure the success of the continuous improvement activities toward meeting the departmental objectives.
• Ensure all team members have received required training necessary to meet the quality objective of the control plan.
• Ensure all tools and equipment necessary for the job are available and in proper working conditions at all times.
• Maintain adequate manpower at all times necessary to complete all the departmental activities for each product according to the scheduled requirements.
• Follow and enforce Health and Safety guidelines.
• Team Leader Must be capable of performing all the duties as detailed in the team member job description.
• Preform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Ability to drive a forklift is required.
• Forklift license required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities to communicate with other department team members as well as the Decostar management team.
• Fluent in English (reading and writing)
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight hours on a continuous basis.
• This position requires a person to have the ability to stand, walk, or climb stairs a minimum of eight hours on a continuous basis.
• This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis and 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
• Must be capable of performing a full range of repetitive motion for yo to eight hours a day.
• Good vision at a close distance as well as color acuity is required.
Additional Information
• You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with Decostar business operations. Training areas will include safety, quality, continuous improvement and other job specific training that is determined to be an essential part of your job and Decostar business operations.
