Job Description
ENGINEERING MANAGER
Manage and directs the Engineering Department personnel who perform all engineering functions related to the product line, Systems Engineering, R&D Development, Laboratory and Product Field Services. Develops methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient and effective engineering work product. Ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities
• Direct the operation and personnel of the Engineering Department, R & D Laboratory and Service Department.
• Provide engineering information to other departments as necessary to allow them to perform their functions correctly and timely.
• Maintain current agency approvals in good standing and provide agency requirements to other departments.
• Determine quality standards and assist production to institute proper testing and inspection procedures.
• To prepare and recommend a budget for the areas of responsibility described above.
• Direct the development and design of equipment for new OEM applications.
• Maintain and/or improve the product line for general and OEM applications.
• Provide engineering assistance to all other departments on as needed basis as time allows.
• Interface with customers and representative on technical issues.
• Provide engineering input on highly engineered orders.
Engineering Manager Requirements
• Possess excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Possess excellent time management and organization skills.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and have good problem solving.
• Ability to identify problems and provide good solutions for the same.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety rules with a focus on Quality.
• Interact with customers positively to resolve field problems, satisfy the needs of customers while minimizing the costs and liabilities of the company.
• Ability to turn customer feedbacks into R&D Roadmap.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in combustion designs, including methods for improving stability, emissions, efficiency, firing rate control, and cost.
• Degree in Engineering.
• 2 years Leadership and Supervision Experience.
• 3 years Combustion Engineering experience
• Strong technical writing ability
