Role Summary
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:
• To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities
• To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.
• To Understand the employee’s rights under the OSHA Act, EEOC, FLSA and do not allow for discrimination against any employee exercising their rights.
• Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those standards.
• To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new employees, reporting unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or commending health and safety performance.
• Ensure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items.
• Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of team members in achieving department performance objectives
• Train team members in control plan procedures and ensure all work is being performed within the guidelines of the control plan.
• Performs other duties as directed.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Previous supervisory experience with related training courses preferred.
• Demonstrated positive attitude and ability to motivate employees in achieving goals.
• Experience and working knowledge of service parts and packaging requirements – BMW.
• Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.
• This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. This position also requires a person to be capable of performing sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours. Good vision at a close distance is required.
• Must either provide documentation of CPR training or complete CPR training within six-months. Must recertify CPR training annually.
Additional Information
• Maintain work performance within the guidelines of TS 16949.
• Conduct daily production communication meetings and production continuous improvement team activities.
• Lead team members in continuous improvement of performance objectives.
• Participate as a cross-functional team member on focused continuous improvement teams as required.
• Schedule operators, develop job rotations and train and motivate employees.
• Issue corrective actions as necessary and maintain accurate records of such activities.
• Ensure line operations are operating effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safety standards.
• Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained at all times in the work area.
• Identify min/max work in process inventory levels to determine order quantities per customer releases.
• Set-up, schedule and follow-up customer requirements to meet customer demands.
• Develop production schedule to maximize labor efficiency
