Job description-CDL Driver/Part Time
Driver for Railroad Services
Drivers needed for emergency call derailment crew, and You must live in Roanoke, Va.
Candidates are responsible to respond to callouts from any location they might find themselves in at anytime, including being within 45 minutes of your yard during normal hours of operations and weekend/night time hours.
Overnight travel varies according to each call. Derailments can be 1-3 nights while, most are less and very few are more. Candidates will be responding to train accidents/derailments so flexibility is a must.
Derailments do occur frequently.
Requirements:
• CDL required
• Ability to inspect equipment daily prior to use
• Perform routine maintenance/service of equipment
• Ability to clear a background check and drug test
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Clean driving record
• Any other task assigned by supervision
