Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with the middle school math curriculum.
• Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging active participation and critical thinking.
• Conductmath activities to enhance students' understanding of principles.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other educators and school staff to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in math education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Math , or a related field with a focus on middle school.
• Valid state (VA) teaching certification/license in Math Education.
• Prior experience teaching middle school math courses is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of middle school math curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for math education and a commitment to nurturing students' curiosity and scientific inquiry.
