Emergency/urgent care veterinarians needed for busy and growing, specialty and emergency practice in Wilder, KY. Part-time or full time positions available. Currently a traditional after-hours and 24-hour weekend emergency practice with flexible, rotating shifts but looking to expand to daytime emergency/urgent care hours in the near future to serve the demand for care. Multiple positions available, from M-F daytime hours, to evenings, overnights and weekends for full-flexibility and small number of shifts per week. Emergency doctors have access to on-call consultations with board-certified specialists in internal medicine, dermatology and surgery. Laboratory, digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, and CT available on site. Work with a caring and dedicated staff in a small family atmosphere. Ideal candidate has great leadership and communication skills with staff and clients. Empathy and a passion for excellent veterinary medicine and patient care are required. New graduates as well as seasoned veterinarians are invited to apply. High quality mentorship is available and new graduates will not be left alone until fully confident and ready to do so. We are open 24hrs on weekends and all major holidays. Once we fully expand, the emergency department will be 24/7. Everyone from our Doctors and Technicians to our Reception staff has been specially selected by GCVS not only for their superior technical and communication skills, but for their compassion for our patients.
Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License
