TITLE:  Occupational Therapist
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of a four (4) year degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensed by the Ky Board of Occupational Therapy
• Two years experience working in occupational therapy.
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL: Develop, disseminate, and evaluate programs and procedures for occupational therapy and assessment; provide occupational therapy to eligible individuals; supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned staff.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
• Designing the occupational therapy program so that it is consistent with the total educational philosophy of the district.
• Continuing professional growth through educational meetings, literature, and exchanging ideas among the district staff.
• Working in coordination with teachers and ancillary personnel in planning and developing the program.
Representative Duties :
• Complete occupational therapy observations, screenings, and evaluations as needed to access students with a wide variety of confirmed or suspected disabilities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of IEP’s for students.
• Complete reports, record progress, and interpret reports to school staff and families.
• Manages equipment, schedule, workplace, and therapy files.
• Oversee Occupational Therapist Assistant with assessment, reports, and training.
• Ability to work within a “teamwork” concept.
• Maintain student confidentiality both in and out of the school setting.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with all other staff members.
• Participate in team meetings and in-service trainings.
• Complete Medicaid documentation.
• Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards.  Universal precautions must be utilized, and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.
• Perform duties to reflect district policies and procedures.
• Perform other related work duties as needed or assigned by supervisor.
Evaluation :
Annual evaluation in accordance with performance of job description and Campbell County School policies and procedures.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work schedule to be established by Superintendent.
Salary as established by the Board of Education.
