Ideal Qualities
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for:
• A strong desire to interact with and help people, both internally and externally, as part of your daily work
• Being a champion for accuracy – you are enthusiastic about, and accountable for, your work being precise, correct, and timely
• Strong communication skills and the ability to use them within a variety of organizational levels
• The belief in a fun, team-oriented work environment where you will contribute through collaboration and lending a helping hand
• Your strengths can be found in organization, multi-tasking, data entry, and administrative support
• It’s a big plus if you have experience in ADP Workforce Now and E-time
• 2 – 4 years experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (administration)
• Associates degree or higher in business, human resources, or related field, preferred
Job Responsibilities
The HR Specialist will manage processes and databases to keep accurate records including attendance, discipline, and employee communication. In doing so, you will be responsible for:
• Having a customer-focused mindset that allows you to switch focus often and serve when needed
• Maintaining the time and attendance system (ADP) with the utmost accuracy including further investigating instances to find a root cause
• Becoming a trusted resource to the HR Director through heavy administrative support in handling discipline, grievances, and employee communication
• Administering the Employee Tire Purchase Program for all current employees and retirees
• Developing high-level monthly reports and presentations to showcase departmental KPIs
• Being familiar with, or having a desire to learn, FMLA laws to best track employee usage
• Understanding policies and procedures outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement in order to facilitate the progressive disciplinary policy
• Supporting Japanese staff, and their families, with living arrangements, utilities, government documents, and other issues related to relocating to the USA and YTMV
• Seeking out process improvements and making recommendations for efficiency
