Director of Community Development & Marketing
The Town of Buchanan is seeking a Director of Community Development & Marketing with primary responsibility in Town business development and support, marketing, event planning & event management, grant writing and fundraising.
Position Responsibilities:
Community Outreach and Engagement
Public Relations and Communications
Marketing & Tourism
Event Planning
Community Development
Partnerships
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
Grant Writing & Fundraising
Qualifications Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Planning, Community Development, Communications, or related field.
Experience in marketing, economic development, planning, or a related role in a municipal or local government setting.
Proficiency in software applications to include Microsoft Office, Social media platforms, and website management tools
Grant writing and fundraising experience
Position is full time salaried/ exempt position. Provided are Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Holidays in line with Commonwealth of Virginia, Health Insurance, Retirement System/ VRS
Salary Range $55,000-$65,000 depending upon qualifications
