Hire Value for Food Lion - Southern is looking for a full time Baking Assistant. The Baking Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of baked goods, including frosting, glaze, toppings, etc. The Baking Assistant will also assist in the cleaning of the kitchen and general kitchen duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and decorate frostings, fillings, and toppings for cakes and cookies
• Frosting is a must
• Cleaning is a must
• Package products properly
• Follow all health and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Experience and Skills
1-2 years’ experience in a bakery a plus but not required (preferred)
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a kitchen environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of basic math (addition, subtraction, division) and able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, division)
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment (preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and comply with all company policies
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
