Food Lion is looking for a full time Dairy Associate to join our team. The Dairy Associate will be responsible for the daily operations of the dairy, from milk processing to packaging. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and agriculture and a keen interest in sustainable food production. They will also be able to work with little supervision and have a good understanding of food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
• Perform milk processing including pasteurization, pasteurizing, homogenization, and pasteurization
• Pack cases of product in compliance with food safety guidelines and food handling regulations
• Work with other team members to maintain a clean and safe environment in the facility
• Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly manner
• Follow all health and safety standards
• Assist in any other areas as needed or assigned by the manager
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years experience in food production or related field preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly
