As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients in emergency situations while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients, administer appropriate treatments, and ensure optimal outcomes. This role requires strong clinical expertise, resilience, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Conduct initial patient assessments to gather medical history, perform physical examinations, and identify emergent conditions. 2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians based on patient needs. 3. Monitor patient vital signs, document changes, and take appropriate actions to maintain stability. 4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, surgeons, technicians, and social workers, to develop and implement patient care plans. 5. Respond promptly to emergencies, including traumas, cardiac arrests, strokes, and other critical situations, utilizing advanced life support techniques when necessary. 6. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly. 7. Document all patient interactions, interventions, and responses in medical records accurately and in a timely manner. 8. Educate patients and their families about the medical conditions, treatment options, and home care strategies. 9. Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. 10. Stay updated with the latest advancements in emergency medical care and participate in continuous professional development activities. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. 2. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state. 3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department or critical care setting preferred. 4. Proficient clinical skills, including the ability to interpret EKGs, administer medications, and perform critical interventions. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members. 6. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in order to prioritize patient needs and handle various tasks simultaneously. 7. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, demonstrating resilience in high-stress situations. 8. Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to make timely decisions in emergent situations. 9. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. 10.
