POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, F&B Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the staff management of operating the Peace Center?s 180-seat restaurant, Genevieve?s, managing lobby concessions, and supporting event spaces on campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include but are not limited to)
• Assist F&B Supervisor in training and supervising the front of house team to provide all aspects of guest service during Genevieve?s restaurant operation, third party rentals, internal events and other occasions as needed.
• Help aid in the development of staff to ensure high standards of service and efficient operation.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Support the F&B Supervisor with implementation of strategies and tactics to increase utilization and profitability of pre-performance dining, intermission bars, and facility rentals.
• Help with the management reservations for Genevieve?s in Open Table, to include Box Office, Marketing, and direct patron contact.
• Manage feedback from guests concerning food quality and service.
• Assist with the implementation of strategies to create an atmosphere that will attract and retain patrons.
• Provide F&B staff with pertinent event information prior to each event.
• Help to maintain the upkeep of POS system (currently Square). Including the addition/deletion of items, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintenance of related equipment.
• Assist with the receiving and inventory of beverages for all F&B operations.
• Help the F&B Supervisor to comply with and enforce all health and safety regulations.
• Support with the enforcement of sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook and Policy & Procedures set forth by The Peace Center.
• Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable.
• A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
• Outgoing, motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Great organizational skills and experience with purchasing and inventory preferred.
• Pleasant, polite manner for dealing with patrons as well as staff.
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional appearance always
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Salary: $32.7K - $41.4K a year
