ABOUT THE LEAD SCRIBE POSITION: The Lead Scribe is a vital member of the Scribe.ology Team, and acts as a liaison between the administration team and the Medical Scribes. The Lead Scribe will work collaboratively with all facets of the administration team to meet the need of our clients and Team Members.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Lead Scribe plays a strategic role with Scribe.ology and will ensure that the quality of the Scribe.ology scribes and sites meet corporate and client standards. The individual(s) in this role will be responsible for delivering key metrics and following up with on-site and administrative team members.
• Complete quality audits to ensure that each employee's skills are held to the clients and Scribe.ology thresholds
• Ensure that area scheduled shifts are completed by checking time clocks and working with HR for any necessary disciplinary actions
• Working with the Scribe.ology Scheduling Team to guarantee 100% shift coverage and notify the operations team and appropriate on-site personnel of any open shifts.
• Communicating with providers to ensure site concerns are being addressed
• Schedule all site orientations for incoming or transferring scribes
• Monitor and track any scribe absences/tardiness and communicate with HR for any written disciplinary actions.
• Collaboration with the Training Team to ensure new scribes' competencies are checked and completed during training.
• Oversee communications with scribe staff, attend meetings, and provide follow-ups with administration staff
• Back-fill scribing shifts as needed
• Additional responsibilities will be assigned
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
A successful Lead Scribe will have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or working towards your Degree in a health-related field
• 1000+ hours of medical scribing experience using an electronic health record (EPIC preferred)
• Preferred experience as a Lead Scribe or scribe supervisor
• Supported evidence of successful training of new scribes
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated and experience-driven
• Must have daytime availability Monday - Friday
• Ability to type 60 WPM

Compensation between $15-18/hour based on experience and availability
