Lawrence Transportation Systems, Inc. is in search of an experienced freight sales professional to grow our network of clients in the full truckload, less than truckload, and 3 rd party logistics arena. Lawrence operates an asset based full truckload fleet of over 200 tractors and 500 trailers serving the lower 48 states. LTL freight services, time critical, and non-asset-based truckload are handled through our internal logistics division. This position will be primarily a remote role with an emphasis on (but not limited to) development of opportunities within the Northeast Corridor of the US.

Reporting Structure & Responsibilities:
This position will be Reporting to the Director of Business Development. The primary responsibility of the National Account Executive is to generate and grow revenue that supports the company’s strategic and financial objectives. Other functions include building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities while cultivating relationships with customers leading to sustainable growth.

Qualifications:
Required : High school diploma / equivalent. College related degree strongly preferred ( but not required ).
Required: 5 or more years of documented experience in the transportation industry in a Sales or Sales related position
Required : Possess a valid driver's license with an ability to pass a drug test, and background check
Required : Daily travel as required for customer visits or meetings – occasional overnight travel may be needed but overnight travel should equate to less than 20% of the time

Verbal and written communication skills that focus on delivering top tier customer experience.
Ability to work in a largely independent setting with excellent time management, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with technology / software including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms (HubSpot experience is preferred but not required)

Responsibilities:
Generate revenue for Lawrence Transportation Systems through daily calls, face to face meetings, Teams meetings, and email communication with leads / prospects and active customers.
Regular daily / weekly update of activities into the CRM platform (HubSpot) and a detailed pipeline report (as directed).
Submission of pricing and negotiation of deals with prospects and current customers as directed.
Manage any customer issues that may arise and follow through until resolution.
Act as the primary initial liaison between the customer and all internal company departments and personnel to ensure that standard operating procedures are in place for an optimal customer experience.
