You must be motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact some of GDIT’s most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country.A Day in the Life· Assist in researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide or customer systems.· Assist in testing, diagnosing, and fixing incidents.· Participate in large system and subsystem planning.· Help ensure that applications and systems are compliant with established quality standards and meet customer and regulatory requirements.· Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.· Participate in special projects as required.· Support the completion of technical tasks.· Assist with the solutions to technical problems of limited scope.· Assist with the coordination for new products, software, upgrades, and equipment.· Assist with documentation for processes and procedure related to computer systems and operations.Must Haves· Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline.· Ability to actively collaborate with others.· Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude· Ability to manage projects and prioritize competing requirements in a fast-paced environment.What You’ll Need to Deliver Your Best Every Day· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources.· Ability to build meaningful relationships with manager and members of your team in a remote environment.· Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.· Intuitiveness with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology.· A sense of genuine, intellectual curiosity and a nimble mindsetWhat you Offer as a Stand-Out Candidate· Familiarity with IT systems and demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages.· Understanding of software development best practices· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks.
