Location Description: Michael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets. Responsibilities:
Wage: $19/Hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday with every other weekend

POSITION SUMMARY :
The purpose of the job is to maintain feed, water, and ventilation systems.  Assist leads and management and perform all assigned duties as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance by working on scheduled days as directed, in relation to production scheduling and or time volunteered for.  This being in relation to attendance policy and or guidelines.
• Checks and repairs egg collection, conveyers, gear boxes, feed systems, ventilation, lighting and water systems to insure needs of animals are met at all times as required by UEP.
• Repairs all equipment items as assigned. Assistance is to be given to Manure Maintenance personnel with regards to maintenance issues as needed and or as directed.
• Trouble shoot problems with equipment.
• Weighs egg samples and records results.
• Weighs and handle poultry.
• Operate equipment as needed (i.e.: skidloader, tractor, manlift, etc…)
• Perform audits and inspections in accordance with UEP guidelines in the absence of lead persons.
• Follows all bio-security guidelines and bird health processes.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.  Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and follow all applicable UEP guidelines. Add monitors bird weight weekly to the house person description.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• None Required
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
• The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral.
• Ability to deal with problems involving troubleshooting.
