Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with a variety of disabilities. You will work closely with students, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized instruction and support to students with a variety of disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers,parents,and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects,social skills,and adaptive behavior
• Monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes
• Stay up-to-date on current special education practices and research
• Attend IEP meetings and other parent conferences
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• State teaching license in Special Education
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with disabilities
• Strong knowledge of special education law and regulations
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
