You believe that hospice care belongs at home.
It takes a special heart to provide compassionate care at the end of life, and you understand the importance of being an empathetic and thoughtful support to both hospice patients and their families. You are a guest with a purpose and come to each visit with an open heart, a listening ear, and the desire to create a comforting atmosphere for all. In collaboration with the hospice team, you make dignity at the end of life a priority and know that you are fulfilling your purpose as a Hospice Aide at Ohio Living.

What you’ll do
As directed by a Case Manager, you will provide end-of-life care and various services for hospice patients throughout several counties, including health care, nutritional services, mobility assistance, bathroom assistance, medications, light housekeeping and running errands. We’ll rely on you to observe, report and document patient status and offer empathetic support to patients and their families.
What it takes
• STNA certification
• 1-2 years of experience working as an STNA or hospice aide
• Knowledge of hospice aide practices and procedures preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable vehicle (you’ll use your own car), valid driver’s license, insurance and acceptable driving record
