Travel Percentage Some Travel Required Job Shift Day Job Category Mental Health Services Description Dominion Care is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide leadership and direction for the direct support staff in our day support programs. The Lead DSP will ensure a high quality of care for individuals by supporting and empowering staff to provide exceptional support services. Duties and Responsibilities: • Effectively communicate between staff, other lead persons, and management. • Acts as a point of contact for guardians, group homes, individuals, and staff. • Ensures all MARs, van logs, behavior trackers are being used and are accurate. • Inspects Dominion Waiver vans to ensure vehicle policies are being observed. • Ensure proper ratios of staff to clients by being part of the ratio as needed. • Assist in planning and encourage engaging activities in the day center such as games, crafts, exercise, dancing/singing, and going out into the community for events and activities. • Support individuals in a center-based and/or community-based setting to enable the individuals to maintain health status, develop skills in adapting to community and center environments. • Develop meaningful relationships and connections with individuals to ensure they feel cared for and included in the community. • Assist with, and work to strengthen, the individuals’ various daily living needs including but not limited to nutrition, hygiene, exe
