General Description Performs intermediate human support work.  Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Recreation Program Supervisor.
We are looking for 2 people to fill this position.   This will be 2 nights a week and/or weekend hours.  6 - 10 hours per week from approximately April 1st - April 30th.
The pay range for someone with certification is $14.80 - $17.49 and the pay range for someone that is not certified is $11.72 - $13.84. Essential Functions of the Job / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Lead group of students of various ages in class setting; teach skills and assist when necessary.
• Address parental concerns and answer questions.
• Teach appropriate skills to students based on age and skill level.
• Assess student skills and determine their next level of enrollment.  Provide feedback for course record form completion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Knowledge of attendance sheets; general knowledge of lesson plans; thorough knowledge of skills assessments, testing sheets and course records.
Education and Experience Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and minimal experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel and occasionally requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting; work requires ability to adjust focus, depth perception and peripheral vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires exposure to wet humid conditions (non-weather) and occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
