Carilion Clinic, located in Roanoke, VA, is hiring a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with expertise and experience in delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy for alcohol, opioid, and other substance use disorders. This position is located under the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, and will work within our Office Based Alcohol Use Treatment (OBAT) Program and Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) Program. This position is designated as 100% clinical; opportunities for clinical supervision and education of trainees and other staff may be available.
We are actively seeking a provider who has experience in the following:
• Experience and knowledge for completing psychosocial intakes and evaluations congruent with ASAM criteria and models of care.
• Experience with delivery of individual psychotherapy for substance use disorders and comorbid psychiatric conditions.
• Experience with both structured and semi-structured group therapy for substance use disorders
• Experience with application of psychotherapeutic interventions via telehealth.
The LCSW will demonstrate knowledge and competency for evidence-based therapy services and use of measurement-based care to demonstrate clinical outcomes and efficacy of interventions, be knowledgeable of methods and models for promoting delivery of behavioral health services to a culturally diverse population and geographic catchment, work well as an independent provider and function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team-based culture and structure, and be familiar with ethical, professional, and state regulations and standards for use of telehealth in delivery of behavioral health services
Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm, with some evening hours; flexibility in shift will be considered
What We Require:
Education : Masters Degree from an accredited school of Social Work-accredited program by the Council on Social Work Education
Experience: Two years - Five years of experience in the mental health profession.Direct experience in evidence-based treatment substance use disorders and comorbid psychiatric conditions. Experience in delivery of behavioral health services via individual, group, and telehealth formats.
Licensure/Certification: Active Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or RN CNS required. LSCW strongly preferred.
Other: Must meet Carilion Clinic credentialing requirements. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Committed to continuing education and integration of science in practice. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and team working skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of social work theory and practice.
