Carilion Clinic is hiring a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to be located at our new Tanglewood facility opening in September, 2023.
Primary responsibilities of this position include delivery of ambulatory mental and behavioral health care, including evidence-based psychotherapy through individual, group, and other technological and population-based methods. We are particularly interested in therapists who possess expertise and experience in one or more of the following domains among adults, adolescents, or children:
• Trauma-related disorders
• Obsessive compulsive disorder
• Eating Disorders
• Depression and Mood disorders
• Traumatic Brain Injury and Memory Disorders
The therapist for this position will work as both an independent provider and function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team-based culture and structure. Emphasis is placed on use of evidence-based diagnostic methods, psychotherapy, and measurement-based methods to demonstrate clinical outcomes.
Experience in teaching and supervision of students and Supervisees in Social Work is preferred to support Carilion's efforts to support clinical and professional development and licensure of mental health therapists in our region.
The therapist will be required to be knowledgeable of ethical, professional, and state regulations and standards for use of telehealth in delivery of behavioral health services.
Generally M-F, some weekend or evenings required
What We Require:
Education : Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university required.
Experience : Two years - Five years of experience in the mental health profession.
Licensure/Certification : Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or RN CNSrequired. LSCW strongly preferred.
Other : Part of interdisciplinary C/L Team. Interfaces with patients on medical floors and ED. Provides assessment, triage counseling. Facilitate admissions or outpatient referrals.
