Job Description
Responsible for effective planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of initial and on-going orientation, training, and education programs for all levels of staff in various Perioperative specialties. Act as an educational/clinical resource for Perioperative staff. Additionally, the role is responsible for coordination and collaboration with Organizational Development and Education. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
• BSN - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure including all state-required courses.
Certification
• Operating Room - CNOR within 1 year of hire date.
• Endoscopy - CGRN within 1 year of hire date.
• PACU - CSPAN within 1 year of hire date.
Specialized Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of OR practice nursing procedures, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Knowledge of instructional methods.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Computer skills necessary to complete job duties.
• Effective communication skills
Kind and Length of Experience:
Minimum 5 years full-time experience in clinical care delivery in assigned area of responsibility (OR/PACU/SDS/PAT).
