With over 1,000 employees in the Americas, we are moving forward with technology to solve our customers’ electrical power needs for both prime and backup generation needs as the industry’s leading manufacturer.Job DescriptionWork collaboratively with the site team to support and implement 3Q6S in all areas of the operation to achieve measurable improvements in standardization, safety, quality, service, and cost.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Responsible for 3Q6S deployment to A level including management systemFacilitate and support plant performance using the 3Q6S assessmentAssist leadership in developing thorough, effective, and timely 3Q6S deployment roadmap to address business needsProvide monthly status updates of 3Q6S deploymentFacilitate 3Q6S Kaizen events and 90-day deliverable chartsCoach and mentor others on 3Q6S philosophyBuild strong working relationships by engaging team members at all levels of the organization, creating feedback loops to share information and results, and empowering people to initiate 3Q6S Experience/Skills:2 – 4 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environmentFamiliar to strong understanding of lean and 6sDemonstrated results using lean tools and techniquesSystematic thinking and structured problem-solving capabilityDemonstrated teamwork spirit and willingness to help people succeedAble to get results through influence and not direct reportingAbility to transition and manage multiple projectsAbility to communicate in a clear and concise manner in both verbal and written communicationsStrong attention to detail with the ability to learn, follow and coach proper procedureDemonstrated ability to think creatively, trace issues to root cause and document findingsDemonstrated ability to be solution oriented when faced with challenges or setbacksMust be self-motivated, have a sense of urgency and take personal responsibility to drive improvementsMust be comfortable with rapid change, able to recognize others’ resistance to change, and lead individuals and teams through the change processDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelEducation:Associate degree or comparable combination of education and experience​Training related to Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologyAdditional Job DetailsEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
