Job Description
The Packer is responsible for packaging of finished goods to specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Pack finished goods in correct packaging and label
• Inspect packing for compliance to quality standards and to material specification
• Document necessary information
• Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized
• Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used
• Identify nonconformities and follow nonconforming product procedures and be aware of disposition authority
Skills to Perform This Role:
• Work as part of a team
• Flexibility to meet change within department and facility
• Follow directional instructions from supervision
• Follow job safety guidelines
• Follow directions on packing diagram and/or packing matrix
• Requires lifting parts from floor to operation level frequently, up to 50 pounds
• Operate packaging equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to tools/equipment
• Use load moving devices
• Identify nonconformities
• Perform packing, labeling, taping and palletizing for shipment
SHIFT AVAILABLE:
1 st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm
2 nd Shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm
3 rd Shift - 11:00pm - 7:30am
Monday - Friday with 1 mandatory Saturday a month and volunteer Saturday’s as needed
8 hour shifts
Packer pay rate is $14.00/hr to start, with $.25 increases every 90 days
