Flex time Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Services at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Job responsibilities in all areas of Emergency Department.  Shifts include any day and any shift, weekends & holidays. Opportunity to work in other system EDs to increase professional development as well as to enhance work:life balance. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of emergency medicine experience (not urgent care), but will consider PA/NP who has completed a post-graduate EM fellowship. New grads will not be considered for this flex position
What We Require:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program, including preceptorship required.
Experience: One to three years experience preferred. Additional experience may be required for some specialties.
Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
Other: Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic’s malpractice insurance carrier. Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
