As a Senior Project Manager IV - Utilities Engineering you will be responsible for overseeing capital improvement projects across the enterprise including management of manpower assignments, budgeting, and expense monitoring/accounting. • Manage several complex projects, simultaneously.
• Serve as project manager for assigned water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.
• Manage the development of Master Plans for Water, Wastewater, and Reuse Systems within the Unincorporated County Service Area.
• Direct technical studies and projections governing capital improvement programs.
• Provide oversight of the Utility CIP.
• Advise and assist other County, regional, and state agencies, citizen groups, property owners, organizations, and other parties with respect to utilities planning.
• Plan, organize, direct, and review the work of utility planning and engineering assignments.
• Assist with periodic Utility Manual revisions.
• Review utility design documents and construction plans for compliance with the Utility Manual.
• Review site and development projects, subdivision plats, and public utility easements.
• Manage and coordinate FDOT projects and FDOT Utility Permits.
• Provide technical support to Utilities Operations.
• Utilize the County’s hydraulic modeling software, Bentley’s WaterGEMS, & SewerGEMS to establish and improve the current and future capacity of utility systems.
• Use modeling software to review operational impacts on the water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems relative to zoning, development reviews, and future growth and to assure that capacity remains available for planned development.
• Act as Program Manager to Capital Projects Department regarding Utility CIP.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You To thrive in this position, you must have-
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of related experience.
• -OR- Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
• -OR- Project experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualification :
• Utility engineering and CIP planning.
• Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to design and construction of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems and facilities.
About Everything Else: Starting Pay Range: $73,964.80 - $99,860.80 based on experience
Position Pay Range: $73,964.80 - $125,756.80
