Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Main ResponsibilitiesMakes mechanical repairs or adjustments to many different types of equipment throughout GW facilitiesParticipates in construction projectsMakes repairs to facility infrastructure (i.e. plumbing, process piping, structural members, HVAC equipment, and some process equipment)Performs welding and fabrication for various production and non-production projects.Keeps work area clean and in orderFollows all company safety procedures and guidelines.Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisorWilling to work in hot, dusty environment (foundry)Willing to work a shift starting at 4am.Some outdoor work required in hot or cold conditionsValid VA driver’s license is requiredEducation/TrainingHigh School or GED preferredPrior industrial maintenance experience preferredQualifications/ExperienceTear down, troubleshoot and repair various mechanical assembliesConstruction skills including: Carpentry and PlumbingAbility to perform general welding (GMAW, SMAW) and fabricationFundamental machining skills desirableProven math skills, reading skills, and computer skills.
