You''re responsible for providing a safe environment for children to cross the street. You will be provided with a flag and vest to help stop traffic and make yourself visible to vehicles. Please wear this equipment at all time. You are to watch for a gap in traffic, step out into the intersection, make eye contact with the driver''s of vehicles, stop in the middle of the intersection with your flag held high, and wave the children across the street once all traffic has stopped and you feel it''s safe enough for children to cross. Stay in the middle until all children are off the street and return to your post.
