Front Office Scheduler
Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. Bath Community Physicians Group is in search of a Front Office Scheduler for its Covington locations. This positions provides outstanding telephone etiquette while welcoming questions and providing information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preregisters patients for scheduled admissions and outpatient procedures
• Obtains authorization and verifies insurance eligibility
• Assures information is placed into electronic health record correctly and orderly
• Interacts professionally with patient and/or representative and provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary
REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Past experience in customer service (preferred)
