We are seeking for a Business Analyst to support a major retail department company. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of being converted to full-time. All candidates must be willing to support a hybrid model of 2-3 days on-site in Reading, PA.
As part of a fast-paced, dynamic Information Technology team, you will support various areas of the business by helping to translate goals into achievable tasks for the IT team collaborating closely with Network, Database, Security, and Development teams. Responsibilities and Duties
· Support the reporting needs of the business by using operational and Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
· Assist with BI application's administrative, maintenance, testing, and development functions.
· Support the business with product information management to maintain data integrity and accuracy across the enterprise.
· Assist with the update and maintenance of our Organizational merchandise and merchant database and structures.
· Support the users in understanding their merchandise structures and metrics across the enterprise.
· Assist with ad hoc and weekly queries, reporting, and analyses.
· Assist in other functions and projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field.
· Ability to rapidly build a comprehensive knowledge of our databases, Org structures, and systems.
· Prior experience with relational DB2 tables, SQL, Oracle EPM/BI suite, and other end-user reporting tools including Excel.
· Prior understanding of retail inventory management, retail metrics, and item-level data.

· Exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Physical Demands
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.
· Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
· Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
