Angels of Assisi is changing the role of an animal shelter to include resources, programs, and services to benefit the pets in our communities and the people who love them. We are an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving SW Virginia and West Virginia.
If you are a team player with a positive and energetic work ethic, we would love to talk with you about joining our surgery team. Our clinic performs 40-60 surgeries a day, including spay, neuter, soft tissue surgery, and some emergency care.
Duties include:
Assisting in the care of hospitalized animals, pre- and post-op care for patients
Maintaining surgical instruments, cleaning, packing and sterilizing
Inventory - counting and stocking
Delivering strong and professional customer service in discharging animals
This position has a strong impact on saving animals, and there is room to grow into a veterinary assistant position.
