The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining productive working relationships with assigned channel partners, at all levels of their organization.
This is a position with global grade 15
This position reports to Global Sales Manager
Your responsibilities • Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin with channel partners.
• Create and manage SPA's for strategic partners and end users.
• Develop selling strategies to negotiate and close deals.
• Develop trust with customers to be the first escalation point when they need assistance.
• Generate cross-selling leads and make it easier to do business with ABB.
• Identify and track upcoming sales opportunities and influence customer specifications to favor ABB.
• Conduct presentations to create awareness of complete ABB solutions.
• Introduce new products to existing customer base and identify target customers.
• Create strategic account plans for key customers.
• Meet or exceed assigned volume measurements.
• Develop cost effective and creative proposals based on drawings and specifications; provide value engineering suggestions; provide full packages to differentiate from competition.
• Understand market pricing and utilize to successfully close opportunities.
• Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership.
• Track sales leads, wins and losses in Customer Response Management (CRM) system; perform analysis on hit-rate data.
• Create customer marketing programs New Product Introduction (NPI) launch, training to promote ABB products and services.
• Identify new customers and create customer profiles to understand ABB’s position.
• Participate in industry and local organizations to build relationships.
Your background • Bachelor's Degree (in Engineering/Industrial Distribution preferred) from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 2 additional years of experience in Sales (OR) a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales.
• Experience with complex contact negotiations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience working with contractors & channel partners.
• Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
• Strong coordination and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs.
• Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training.
• Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools.
• Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
