JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure that all procedures, equipment needs, and safety protocols are met consistently.
• Teach customers proper throwing techniques so they learn how to throw to the best of their ability to have a safe and unforgettable experience.
• Ensure the facility, lanes and equipment are always event ready and the sessions are flowing smoothly.
• Be the face of Blue Ridge Axe Throwing and represent our brand and passion for social sports.
• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs. (Will be provided)
• Ensure guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service always
• Proactively seeking out and solving guest conflicts quickly and courteously. Engage in customer recovery process when needed.
• Help create a team environment; encourages others (especially coaches) at every opportunity
• Takes initiative; doesn’t wait for something to happen or to be asked to do something.
• Maintain targets and axes when necessary; changing of damaged target boards, watering targets, changing out damaged axes, etc.
• Assist in merchandise restocking.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Assist in keeping facility maintained, safe and adequate for customers.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to adapt, problem solve, and feel comfortable working in a fun, fact-paced environment.
• Some computer skills for learning POS system and Reservation system appreciated but will train.
• Outgoing, assertive, reliable and dependable.
• Excellent communication skills.

AXE COACH REQUIREMENTS
• Personality: Our axe coaches work one on one with individuals and groups to ensure guests are successful at axe throwing while safe and having fun!
• Scheduling: We are flexible, but all candidates must have weekend availability.
• Confidence: Many of our guests are first time axe throwers and need confident tips from an experienced axe coach. Must be able to provide feedback.
• Attitude: Axe throwing is fun! Must be able to take charge while keeping the experience fun and engaging!
