With over 1,000 employees in the Americas, we are moving forward with technology to solve our customers’ electrical power needs for both prime and backup generation needs as the industry’s leading manufacturer.Job DescriptionPosition Objective:Performs human resources activities, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, training and employee support.  Works with site HRBP’s and divisional HR team to provide consistent, professional HR support to the organization.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Administers human resources policies, procedures, contract, reporting in compliance with state and federal regulation and Nidec Corporate Human ResourcesProvides onboarding training and support for full employee life cycle training and developmentConducts new hire orientation with benefits informationPrepares and delivers presentations regarding human resources and employee relations topicsResponsible for leave administration tracking and reporting and follow up with leave Service providerAssist with site specific benefit questions and employee support including making changes, ordering new cards and enrolling in benefitsUpdates HRIS and Kronos as appropriate and as required.  Utilizes data from HRIS and Kronos to administer class hours, attendance bonus, FMLA, etc.Assists with administration of self-funded benefits plan per the summary plan descriptionsPrepare termination letters and exit interviews for manufacturing employees and any other documentation as required by location and/or state regulationAssist with badge entry security system including printing badges and updating databaseAssist with administration of HR programs such a tuition reimbursement, Service Awards, etc.Engage with workforce; provide information as neededCoordinates or assists in coordinating Company sponsored functions for employeesParticipates in safety and health initiativesProvide HR related support as requiredExperience/Skills:Previous experience in a manufacturing required.  Experience administering a labor contract strongly preferred  Requires a strong client focus, business acumen and results orientation; both as a strategic thinker and as a tacticianRequires high level of attention to detail.  Strong ability to listen carefully, research diligently and respond preciselyProven ability to identify key issues and develop creative solutions and the ability to drive processes across the organizationMust have demonstrated leadership, project management, communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsAdditional Job DetailsEducation:Bachelor’s degree and 0-3 years’ experience in Human Resources.  PHR or SHRM HR Certification desirableEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
