Job Overview
Are you a rising Junior or Senior Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Student looking for a hands-on summer work experience? This position might be for you! The Summer Engineering Intern will work with the Stryten Energy, Salina, KS engineering team to help design and test electronic hardware and software for transportation power systems. They will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist in the development of products and systems for a wide range of applications.

This is a paid opportunity. Housing and transportation are not provided.
Responsibilities
• Help design and test electronics for new products and sustain existing products.
• Collaborate with the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.
• Design and build test fixtures, harnesses, and test software.
• Create test plans and procedures to support production test system development.
• Conduct experimental tests, analyze test data, and write test reports.
• Assist production and QA teams with putting new designs into production.
Requirements
• University enrollment towards a BS degree in electrical engineering or computer science, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must have housing in the area and transportation.
• Experience with high voltage and high-power electronics considered an asset.
• Strong analytic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assemble prototypes.
• Experience working with product and engineering technical specifications and product performance test procedures or plans.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
