Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Utilize GPS or navigation systems to navigate through various locations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and pallet jacks is a plus
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks
Note: This position may require occasional use of forklifts or tractor-trailers, depending on the specific job requirements.
