Responsibilities:
• As directed or approved by the Facilities/Fleet Manager, plans and schedules general maintenance and repairs for designated facilities, systems or equipment.
• Works with the Facilities/Fleet Manager in the development of related budget for his/her area(s) of responsibility.
• Assists as requested by the Facilities/Fleet Manager in obtaining quotes for various facility repair/maintenance projects.
• Assists the Facilities/Fleet Manager in monitoring and supervising the work of local subcontractors.
• Responds to maintenance and mechanical emergencies as needed and requested.
• Responsible to provide at assigned facilities proper grounds maintenance for professional appearance and presentation.
• Responsible for prompt and accurate record keeping and reporting as required by this position.
• Will adhere to federal, state and local laws and regulations that apply to non-profit organizations as they apply to day-to-day operations.
• Will observe and comply with agency’s safety policies and procedures.
• Attends conferences, seminars and meetings to increase general knowledge and personal growth as deemed appropriate or requested by immediate supervisor.
• Supervises the activities of Campus Host(s), Participant(s), and SCSEP personnel that reports to him/her.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years facility maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices; including effective safety practices, standards and techniques pertaining to facility maintenance operations.
• Considerable knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• Ability to develop and adhere to schedules; concurrently handle a wide variety of projects; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of insurance is required to drive personal vehicle on company business. Additionally, an acceptable motor vehicle record based on Goodwill guidelines is required to drive a company vehicle or transport program participants.
