Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a daycare or babysitting setting
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to promote educational and social development
- Prepare meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition
- Assist with basic hygiene tasks
- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or babysitting role
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with children on their level
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus
