Responsibilities A physical therapist will provide services that help restore or improve a patient's function, mobility, and pain level, as well as prevent or limit disabilities that come from the injury or disease. PTs will be able to demonstrate excellent track records of restoring, maintaining, and promoting overall fitness and good health. Great patience and a calm demeanor are required, as patients often suffer from disabling conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy. The ideal candidate will be thorough and competent at examining patients' medical histories, testing and measuring their strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function, and then prescribing the best treatment strategy and its anticipated outcome. Physical therapist can find travel positions in acute care, outpatient clinic, and home health settings.
Qualifications
• Valid BLS from the American Heart Association
• A valid professional license within the state of practice
• Specialty-related certifications may be required for specific positions
• Proof of right to work in the United States
Experience Requirements 12 months of occupational experience
