Please see additional information about joining our team.  Depending on your skills and interests, the position can involve one or more of the items listed below:Develop new teaching materials, e.g. convert markdown tutorials into a series of YouTube videos.TA in workshops: test workshop examples, help create and test attendees' accounts, software installation before the workshops, monitor Zoom chat.Help with RC website updates (update FAQs, short HowTos, wiki pages etc).Scientific software installations, containerize applications, benchmarking and documentation (e.g. R, Rstudio, Jupyter kernels, ML, bioinformatic tools.Support RC staff with consulting requests like code efficiency and performance tasks.Support RC staff with gathering resource metrics (e.g. user requests, workshop registration, resources utilization, consulting & collaborations.Support logistics/admin tasks for VA-WHPC program, and RC outreach events, e.g. help organize and publicize community events and manage program social media posts.Help to compute activities report data (using python or other programming skill).Hourly Rate: $16 - $18 (commensurate on experience)What do you bring:Excellent oral and written communication skillsDetail orientedAbility to work with a teamSkill in organizing and prioritizing assignmentsFamiliarity with a programming language such as Bash, Python, R, Java, Lua, Julia, or RubyAble to meet in person at least once a weekEducation: Current UVA studentExperience: NoneLicensure: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
