JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Paint Prep Associate - 2nd Shift
Reports to: Paint Manager
Department: Paint
Location: Breinigsville, PA
Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Job Summary :

Works as part of a team to prep products for the paint process. An important role which contributes to producing blemish free finishes and a quality product timely and efficiently. Must be able to work a split shift during the 2 – 3 month training period, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM. We offer $1.00 differential once moved to 2nd shift.
Duties/Responsibilities :
• Loads products on and off the line before and after paint
• Sanding and wiping of units prior to paint application
• Ability to read and interpret work orders
• Contributes to LEAN and 5S efforts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Minor assembly of astragals in an off-line process
• Masking / taping two color units
• Matching of components prior to assembly
• Patch or putty defects including sanding and other minor repairs
• Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts
Requirements:
• Attention to detail.
• Paint skills a plus, but we will train
• Ability to work in a team environment

Education and Experience :
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Physical Requirements :
• Ability to use core muscles repeatedly
• Continuous standing up to ten hours per day
• Walking
• Bending
• Kneeling
• Stooping
• Lifting to 50 pounds singularly
• Lift up to 100 pounds team lift
• Frequent use of hand/wrist
• Fine manipulation of hands/fingers
