We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Housekeeping Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of cleanliness and sanitation of rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas.
One full time day shift position open: Mon-Fri - 5:00 am - 1:30pm.
General Summary
The Housekeeping Assistant is primarily responsible for all phases of cleanliness and sanitation of rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas.
Principal Duties:
• Performs all duties as assigned. May include but not limited to: dusting, washing windows, scrubbing and waxing floors, shampooing carpets, disinfecting, mopping, trash removal, moving furniture and equipment, vacuuming, etc.
• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains courteous and professional communication with Sisters, visitors, staff members and vendors.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work with exposure to dust, fumes, dirt and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to withstand and manage constant standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying.
• Safety awareness concerning cuts, burns, falls and communicable diseases.
• Ability to properly work with cleaning and mechanical equipment.
Education, Training And/Or Experience :
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet all local health regulations.
