Ensures safeguarding of cash, adherence to policies and procedures and identification of risk exposures through performing complex cash reconciliations and assisting in audits of cash collection activities.
• Completes complex reconciliations of cash collections and seed funds and prepares accounting entries as required.
• Assists in conducting financial, operational and compliance audits at cash collection points to ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures and internal controls.
• Prepares individual site audit reports that document adherence to internal controls, security requirements and operational performance related to cash collection activities.
• Assists in ensuring alignment and synchronization of courier services associated with cash collections meet operational needs.
• Educates collection staff on proper cash handling practices and adherence to policies and procedures
• Maintains cash collection supplies inventory
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $22.84 - $36.54 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business healthcare administration required with two years related experience preferred.
Experience: In lieu of Bachelor’s degree five years directly related work experience required, healthcare experience preferred. Proficiency in Excel, and computerized accounting and receivables systems. Experience with commercial banking applications and Epic strongly preferred.
Licensure: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
