and vendors.
● Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
● Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and
coordinating work efforts with other staff members and partnering organizations.
● Teach and lead workshops for interns.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Cornerstone Church is hiring a full-time Social/Digital Media Coordinator to further our mission through our social media and digital communication efforts. This position focuses on social media coordination and digital content creation, helping those who follow Cornerstone online to get a better idea of who we are as a church, what we believe, and how God is using Cornerstone to impact our local community and beyond.
Time Commitment
This is a full-time position and will require a flexible schedule, specifically for social media creation on Sunday mornings and special events throughout the week.
Digital/Social Responsibilities
● Manage social media for Cornerstone Church social media accounts as well as contribute and give direction to other ministry accounts as needed
● Create/design engaging social media stories as well as explore and develop a
strategy for other social media platforms or trends (e.g. IG Reels, etc.) throughout
the week
● Produce social media on Sunday mornings (IG/FB Stories during worship time,
Sunday afternoon recap posts, etc.)
● Take photos of weekend/events and work to build a photography team to compile
weekly shot lists to capture ideal photos for social media content
● Provide insight and help strategize new ideas/possibilities for social media direction
● As the position develops, help guide and lead a team of social media volunteers to
help facilitate social media
● Answer questions and engage in private social media conversations (direct
messages, etc.) when necessary/appropriate
● Create web and app graphics (graphics for web pages/event banners/thumbnails)
● Produce weekly pieces (social shares, announcement slides, signage, web graphics,
and other print material, etc.)
● Develop digital ad campaigns (Facebook, possibly Google, etc.) for major initiatives
or event pushes
● Update website weekly to ensure all info is up-to-date, accurate, etc.
● Manage and update content for Cornerstone Church Athens app
● Manage information distribution to team members (via Asana)
Skills/Qualifications:
● Personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with Cornerstone’s Statement of Faith
● Member, or willing to become a member, of Cornerstone Church
● Ability to embrace and embody the mission, vision, and staff values of Cornerstone
Church
● Attendance during weekend service, meetings, and other events determined by the
Production Director
● 3-5+ years of experience in social media/digital content creation (examples include
Facebook posts, Facebook events, Facebook ads, Instagram posts, Instagram
Stories, Instagram Reels, Twitter, video content produced specifically for social
media, and more)
● A strategic approach to content creation (content calendars, analytics assessment,
etc.)
● Commitment to improvement, willingness to accept constructive criticism, and
understanding of strengths and weaknesses
● Effective visual, written, and oral communicator
● Can work in an environment that doesn’t require micro-managing
● Manages time and resources well
● Willingness to contribute to creative ideas and collaborate with various teams
● Encourage and model the value of teamwork among staff and the Production Team
● Organized and detailed
● Self-starter & flexible to change as needed
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design/content creation platforms
● Passion for learning and excitement to learn through experience
● Professional representation of Cornerstone and the Lord in all things at all times
Must-Haves
● Ability to shoot/edit video and photography
● Create graphic content (ie: service graphics, social content, production overlays,
etc.)
● Very high attention to detail
● Knowledge in Asana or other project management software
● Great time management skills and ability to work under pressure
● Ability to work well independently and with a team, depending on the project
● Exceptional communication skills
● Proactive and excellent ability to problem solve
● Portfolio available online

Compensation
