Full Time
Role:
Responsible for reviewing closed loan documents for accuracy and funding closed loans.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
50% Ensures all closed Home Equity loan packages/documents are properly executed, accurate, and meet regulatory requirements. Funds and disburses closed Home Equity and Secondary Market First Mortgage Loans, as well as completes the boarding and funding processes for Portfolio First Mortgages, including performing necessary file maintenance in the core system.
15% Prepares various real estate loan documents for proper and timely recording.
15% Crosstrain and serve as backup for other functions within the department.
5% Effectively communicate with home equity processors and courier vendor to facilitate a positive member experience.
5% Initiate wire transfer forms for daily mortgage payments, payoffs, and escrows.
5% Provides general lending operations support to Retail Centers and Contact Center by answering telephone inquiries and resolves Synapsys service events in a prompt and accurate manner.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including, but not limited to, OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act. Meets or exceeds performance expectations as described in Essential Functions and Responsibilities. Please refer to Annual Performance Goal document for remaining Performance Measurements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Must be able to perform all duties and functions of Loan Operations Specialist I. Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone. Skill and ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals and other related materials. Must have the skill and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Environment: Work is performed indoors in an office environment with normal potential for exposure to safety and health hazards. May periodically travel to other, similar sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
