Under daily supervision the Material Controller is responsible for assisting with and maintaining component needs for the production line. In this position you will fulfill production requirements within the Gate 2 Kitting/Accumulation process by identifying and gathering components according to the production schedule in order to meet customer commit dates.
• Analyze and review data to assure proper disposition of materials and parts, including identification of miss-allocated parts, rerouting as appropriate and processing required paperwork.
• Work for quick resolution to support Production with strong sense of urgency by responding to the shops needs with inquiries to any materials issues. Ensure parts are stored accordingly to prevent damage and contamination.
• Procure and expedite aircraft materials via repair, subcontract, and/or supplied in order to maintain production needs as well as customer needs, both internal and external.
• Accumulate and account for numerous components on a daily basis to various engine racks within Gate 2.
• Prepare engine racks for build by completing a thorough inventory of the racks and resolving any outstanding issues prior to releasing the racks to build.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Operations to mitigate any shortages by exhausting all possible swap options.
• Monitor the production schedule/board daily to ensure engine racks are prepared in advance to release to build as they are scheduled.
• Run reports daily to have visibility of outstanding materials issues as it pertains to production scheduling.
• Utilize electronic databases in order to retrieve information regarding aircraft parts inventory, manufacturing model and serial numbers, and pertinent information to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data.
• Provides materials, components, and engines in a timely manner by physically moving them from stock points either manually or by way of material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job.
• Complete training as required.
• Work in a fast paced, high demand environment that requires constant change.
• Able to adjust to any/all demands in order to meet production needs and customer commits.

Position Requirements:
Good planning, organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills to ensure compliance to customer, regulatory and company requirements.
• A valid class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
• A valid forklift operator's license (preferred)
• Mechanical dexterity
• Working knowledge of computers
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the proper handling of material.
• Working knowledge of inventory controls and warehousing procedures is an asset.
• Thorough knowledge of the workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS) requirements and hazardous goods handling.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
