Burnett Environmental Consulting, LLC is looking for a Geologist to join our team.
Responsibilities
• Conduct field soil investigations for onsite septic system permitting
• Locate test boring locations using GPS
• Advance hand auger borings to determine soil suitability
• Prepare reports using GIS and CAD
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess good organizational skills with attention to detail
• Must be to hand auger borings in challenging conditions.
• Must have a good understanding of the principles of geology, hydrology, and soils. Must have a good understanding of the principles of geology. Must be able to read maps and topographic maps.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
