Kissito Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a Regional Clinical role. This individual would oversee clinical operations at multiple facilities and report to and receive direction from the corporate team.
SUMMARY:
The Regional Clinical Nurse is responsible for compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations that govern long-term care facilities, and established policies and procedures to enhance the quality of life of our residents by planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Departments. This role provides leadership with regard to clinical practice, team development, quality assurance, and strategic input to assure each resident receives the necessary nursing, medical, and psycho social services to attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the nursing process by verifying appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the resident’s care. Actively participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, when necessary.
Assists with the supervision of Nursing Staff in fulfillment of department programs and activities within budget, with high quality and on schedule. Providing training and sitting in as a nursing admin role when needed.
Ensure nursing involvement in quality improvement initiatives and health/safety programs. Create and rollout new programs or procedures as needed.
Monitor appropriate reporting and documentation for each center. Helping to ensure timely and accurately nursing notes in an informative and description manner.
Perform direct patient care utilizing established procedures, policies and standards, when necessary.
Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
The Director of Nursing reports to and receives general direction from the corporate team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License issued by the State.
Minimum of 5 years related experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility, preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Works in office areas, as well as throughout the facility. Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends and holidays when necessary. On call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Interacts with residents, family members, and staff under all conditions and circumstances. Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, and visitors. Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions including but not limited to exposure to hepatitis B viruses.
